The Role of Our Partners:
The Well Fed Essex County Collaborative is strong because of the organizations we work with, including local government and healthcare providers.
Our partners play a hands-on role in making sure residents can get and eat healthy food:
- They connect people to resources. Partners run programs that lower the cost of healthy items, and they offer nutrition education to encourage better choices.
- They break down barriers. They integrate food resources into existing services, like health clinics and social programs, making healthy food easier to access for neighbors facing transportation or cost challenges.
- They deliver results. Our partners’ direct involvement ensures we are effectively helping people get the food they need right here in Essex County.
